Ani-May review: HETALIA

Ne Ne Papa! Ne Ne Papa!

I have just recently finished Hetalia, and I really enjoyed this as it was filled with humor and fun. It doesn't take itself very seriously but that is what makes the anime so amazing and unique at the same time.

Basically it goes over different time periods with the countries being personified by...a person? Here's an example as that can be kind of confusing.
that is America, as a character in Hetalia

The anime is a comedy and kind of emotional with some suggestive themes that aren't too heavily mentioned. Each country is different and the interactions with other countries are really hilarious and entertaining. They do not focus on Latin countries, but do focus on many others, especially European countries.

Now, as I said before this anime is very light and happy as well as the fact it doesn't take itself too seriously. The anime has some suggestive themes as well as some stereotypical qualities in each country, but these are not too heavy. This may turn down some of the watchers, but this only added to my viewing experience and it was something I highly enjoyed.

What do you think of Hetalia? Please answer in the comments.

Sayonara!
